Langhe Nebbiolo Sperss Gaja 1997 Alcohol content 14% vol. Made FROM 94% Nebbiolo AND 6% Barbera grapes. Ruby/deep garnet red colour. Powerful AND intense nose, initial austere scents: black cherry, earth AND tertiary aromas, but after proper oxygenation the wine will release elegant aromas OF oriental spices, licorice, vanilla, macerated fruit, dried violet AND rose, cocoa, coffee, truffles, tar, tobacco. The word TO define this wine WHEN tasting it IS balance. Elegant tannins, richness OF flavour AND freshness give very long tasting sensations. Although it contains a considerable EXTRACT, body AND power, the wine remains easy TO drink AND  impeccably elegant AND well-orchestrated. You can pair it WITH veal shank WITH Nebbiolo sauce, wild boar tenderloin WITH wild berries, well-seasoned Castelmagno cheese.
